Buffs Charitable Trust Board, FY22 report

The Buffs Charitable Trust Board return for FY22 (1 April 2021-31 March 2022) is now available on the charities register.

The Buffs Charitable Trust was formed on 23 November 2021. As such, the Trust does not have much to report for the financial year ended 31 March 2022. Financial Year 2022-2023 will be our first full year of existence.

The Trust was formed by two incorporated societies based in Auckland – the Newmarket Buffalo Hall Society and the Howick Buffalo Hall Society. Both of these incorporated societies are now dissolved, as we have informed the registrar of incorporated societies that they are both to be dissolved. The founding assets of the trust are the assets of those two hall societies.

The Trust opened a bank account with ASB in March 2022, and that only records a single transaction – the transfer of the Newmarket Buffalo Hall Society’s bank balance.

As at 31 March 2022, no other assets had been transferred to the Trust. In the next Financial Year, we will report on the other assets that have been transferred and donations made to advance the trusts’ charitable purposes.
